Jazz it up this Christmas and New Year!
Can you believe in just over 10 days we’ll be Welcoming a New Year! This year has definitely flown!
Whether you celebrate Christmas and New Year, you’re in charge of hosting or attending a family get together. Christmas is a magical time of year because it is that time to let your hair down, relax and enjoy the festive season with family and friends.
To help you see this year out in fun and style, we’re leaving you with some nifty ideas to create a cracker celebration.
Although Christmas in itself is a tradition, there’s no need to be super traditional when you’re organising your Christmas Celebration. In essence, any special occasion is simply about bringing people together and creating an environment that ensures they have a really great time.
So don’t be afraid to Jazz it up a little this year!
Go Pink Flamingo
If you haven’t seen any of the wildly exotic Christmas pics online featuring flamingos, you’re missing out!
It all started in the US a few years ago and this year it’s gone absolutely crazy. As far as we can tell, flamingos have absolutely nothing to do with traditional Christmas. They are, instead, a symbol of self-expression. They represent Beauty, Balance, Grace and Confidence. But most importantly, they’re just a whole lot of fun!
So if you’re looking for something a little unique this Christmas…Go Pink Flamingo crazy! Very well suited for Cool Pool Christmas Party Theme.
Loll in Luxury
Gold has always been one of the more underutilised Christmas colours, compared to green and red. This Christmas, go all out with Shades of Gold instead.
Style up your table with Rose Gold candelabras, Pale Gold rimmed plates and True Gold ornaments. Give your guests the Royal Treatment so they feel like they’ve stepped into a Royal Palace!
Bring the Outdoors ß In
Create an ‘el natural’ theme by adding Real indoor plants to your home and decorating them. You could also place things like driftwood, sprigs, holly, acorns and pines on the dining table to make it extra special.
Alternatively, if you’re lucky enough to have a pool, take the indoors out. Transform your backyard into a 5 Star resort complete with cocktails, mocktails and mini drink umbrellas!
Titillate the Senses
If you do have a standard Christmas tree, spray it with pine scent this year. The aroma will spice up your home and delight your guests.
Another great way to get guests in the mood is with music. YouTube has an extensive selection of Christmas favourites, as well as compilations from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s to help you celebrate on New Year’s Eve.
Create your own Grazing Station
People love a great buffet, so even if you’re hosting a sit-down dinner, be sure to create a fun grazing station. Grazing stations provide a space for people to congregate and chat and create a fun addition to your gathering. Just don’t forget to cover the food if you set it up outside!
Items to consider for your grazing station:
- Variety of Cheese
- Chocolates and More!
Remember, whatever you have planned this Christmas and New Year, enjoy the organising, have fun with these ideas, let your creative juices flow and be sure to have a great one!
