Going the extra mile for your Special Event – insider secrets!

At End2End Events, we always go the extra mile for clients. Often doing a little bit extra is all it takes to leave a great impression, to ensure everyone who attends our events walks away with a big smile and a happy memory.

If you’re planning an event and are wondering what you can do to make it extra special and memorable, the most important thing to remember is:

It’s Not about You!

That may seem a little harsh, but all too often people organise events based on what they like, rather than taking a deep dive into who their guests are and what would really impress them.

Events are about the people you serve – and if you keep that at the forefront of your mind, you’ll be on your way to creating something remarkable.

Do your Research

At End2End Events, we never start an event without a great deal of research to point us in the right direction. We know that if we are going to please the target audience, we need to get inside their heads. Understand who they are. Know what their likes and dislikes are. And this information allows us to make informed decisions throughout every aspect of the planning and execution stages.

Take the time to understand who will be attending your event, to ensure you head in the right direction from the very start!

Choose a Theme

The best themes create a storyline and add depth to an event. Choose a theme that aligns closely with the people attending (or reason for) the event, and decide how you would like your guests to feel so that you can make design decisions that create those feelings.

At the recent Canberra Women in Business awards, we chose a “ZEST” theme. Zest means “with great enthusiasm and energy”, which we knew summed up the women in attendance and allowed us to reinforce that feeling during the event.

Find a Location

With so many options to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to hold your event.

The best location puts your guests in an environment that adds to the feeling you want to create. For example, we held our recent End2End SpringTime Tea in Gardens House of the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. This beautiful floral and serene setting had guests in awe from the moment they arrived and helped us create a tranquil and inviting ambience.

When booking suppliers such as florists, MCs, audio-visual support, and so on, try to choose someone with a proven track record who you know will do a great job. Going to the effort to choose a great location will be wasted if guests receive substandard service.

Give, Give, Give

People love stories, and they love to hear other people share their unique points of view and knowledge. Give your guests something to remember by choosing entertainers and keynote speakers that will impress and delight. The topics should also reinforce your theme, which allows your guests to become even more immersed in your event.

Finally, everyone loves a gift so don’t let guests walk away empty handed! Choose something specific to your theme that will help them remember what a great time they had.

At recent End2End Events, we have gifted everything from perfume and chocolates to our popular Evil Eye Protector. And guests always comment on how lovely it is to receive a gift and are grateful that they attended.

Of course, we have a few other trade secrets up our sleeve, but we’ll keep those under wraps for our special clients who know that choosing End2End ensures an extra special and memorable event for all involved!
