E2E’s Autumn High Tea – French Elegance
Join Us on 23rd March to Celebrate Versailles in True 18th Century French Glamour
The team at End2End Events have been working overtime the last few weeks…putting together an amazing event that celebrates the National Gallery of Australia’s exclusive Versailles: Treasures from The Palace exhibition, and International Women’s Day.
We invite all Canberrans to join us and immerse themselves in a French-inspired setting at our E2E Autumn High Tea on Thursday 23rd March from 3:00 pm.
This is an exciting opportunity to dress up in 18th century French glamour, and enjoy a beautiful collection of herbal teas, French patisserie and delicacies, while relaxing to a live performance of baroque music from award-winning Harp and Violin Canberra Youth Orchestra musicians Leonard & Helena.
End2End Events has collaborated with some of Canberra’s finest local suppliers to make the event truly memorable. As well as our musicians, we have a display of vintage furniture from A Vintage Look Furniture Hire and Fox Antiques put together in a way only suitable for Marie’s Petit Trianon.
A special collaboration with local dress jewellery supplier Devine Goddess, to ensure guests purchase an elegant piece of jewellery to wear at the event and Bling it Up! Simply head to any one of the three Devine Goddess stores around Canberra and mention you are attending our E2E Autumn High Tea, and receive 10% off any statement piece.
Both men and women are welcome to attend, and everyone is encouraged to come dressed in 18th Century French attire. We know that many of you will be coming from work, so while we encourage you to change beforehand if it’s not possible then work or lounge suit attire is fine. Our guest list is filling up fast, as it’s sure to be an excellent networking event for all!
We are also planning a number of surprises throughout the afternoon (but we can’t mention them, or it wouldn’t be a surprise!).
There will be a special focus on the Queen of 18th Century French Glamour: Marie Antoinette with The Sculpture Garden (Le Petit Trianon) providing the perfect backdrop against the Palace (National Gallery), as Le Petit Trianon was where Marie would frequently enjoy tea with her guests La Société particulière de la Reine. We may even have a speaker who will enlighten us on little known and unknown facts about Marie Antoinette and her glamorous and dramatic life!
Don’t miss out! Join us for an afternoon of French extravagance, and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime honour of having the Treasures from Versailles here in Canberra.
Tickets to the Autumn High Tea can be purchased on Eventbrite. Be sure to follow us on Facebook for any updates about the event. Those who book early will go into the draw to win a 2 for 1 pass to the 28th French Film Festival, presented by the Alliance Française at the Palace Electric Cinema (until April 9).
